How to use the Laughing Bear Batik Online Store
Logging in:
You do not have to log in to be able to shop at laughingbearbatik.com. There are many benefits to creating an account - you will not have to reenter shipping and contact information in the future, you will have an online record of what you have order with us in the past, you can be included in special price groups when we have sale events just for our registered users. If you like, start by clicking the "Sign In" link in the upper left-hand corner to log in. If you are a new customer, you will be able to create a Login ID and Password. If you are concerned about privacy, see our Privacy and Security Information.

Browsing:
Browse merchandise by clicking the categories and subcategories listed under "Browse Products" on the left-hand side of the screen.

Searching:
You can search for an item either by it's number or it's name. You can do a search for type of item - for example fairies, dinosaurs, jumpers, girl's dresses, hats

Product Details:
When viewing a range of products, click the thumbnail image or product name to view a larger image, product description, and color choices when available.

Product Availability:
Most special requests are made to order. Typographical errors are subject to correction. Colors may vary from images shown. We do our best to keep our website updated. If you would like to make sure an item is still in stock you may email us at:

Selecting Merchandise:
To select a product, specify desired quantity and any optional color or style choices (where indicated), then click the "Add To Basket" button. You may then continue shopping until you are ready to send us your final order.

Shopping Basket:
To view or change the items you've designated for purchase, click the "Basket Contents" button at the top of the screen.

Checking Out:
When you are ready to submit your final order, click the "Checkout" button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. You will then be prompted for shipping and billing information and given the opportunity to confirm the details of your order. Order Confirmation:
After you submit your order, an online invoice will appear. You will also receive an email confirmation of your order shortly thereafter.

Privacy & Security Policy
We collect email address, phone, and mailing address information from our customers to facilitate the order process and to communicate regarding requests and problems. This contact information is only used internally. We respect your right to privacy, and we do not share this information with other companies. Similarly, the billing information we collect when you make a purchase is used only in the processing of your transactions and is protected by Secure Socket Layer technology (see "Secure Transactions" below).
We do not send any email other than information regarding your purchase to your email address.

Secure Transactions
Laughing Bear Batik uses a secure server and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to protect your billing and credit card information when you are placing an order. SSL technology encrypts the communication between you and Laughing Bear Batik, allowing only Laughing Bear Batik access to your information.

Your secure transaction begins when you arrive at our order form pages to submit an order. In order for SSL security to work, you must use an SSL-enabled browser. Most browsers version 3.x and later support SSL. To check that the connection is secure, look at the URL bar at the top of your browser window. The first characters in this line will be "https://" when a secure connection is established, as opposed to the "http://" that appears when your connection is not secure. In addition, a "locked padlock" or "key" icon should appear at the bottom of most types of browser windows when a connection is secure.

We utilize a GeoTrust secure certificate. Click the icon below to test it. On our site's secure areas, you may double-click the "Padlock" icon in the bottom of Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers to view the cybrhost.com secure certificate information. While we use the cybrhost.com secure server, all data transfer will still be encrypted, secure, and accessible only by Laughing Bear Batik.

According to consumer protection laws, you are protected against illegal, unauthorized use of your credit card. Federal law says that your legal liability in the case of unauthorized card use is limited to $50. Call your issuing bank if you have reason to believe that your credit card number has been used without your permission.
